Imagine what could be.

Every creation begins as an idea. Before there is a drawing, a painting, or even a plan, there is a little spark in our minds—a thought, a feeling, a possibility.

Dreams give us the freedom to imagine what could be, long before we know how it might take shape.

I love this part of the creative process—the space between an idea and its becoming. When we allow ourselves to dream without worrying about whether something is possible, perfect, or practical, we open the door to curiosity and creativity.

Creating a Zentangle-inspired crest feels much the same. I may begin with a simple string and a few patterns, but there is always room for the design to surprise me. One line leads to another, colours begin to come alive, and slowly an idea that existed only in my imagination takes form on the tile.

Perhaps our dreams are like that too. They don’t need to have all the answers today. They simply need a little space, a little patience, and the courage to let them grow.

Today, as you create, I invite you to think about a dream you’ve been carrying. Give it a little room. Let yourself imagine without limits.
