Day 5 — The Crest of WHIMSY

Day 5 — The Crest of WHIMSY

Make room for play.

There is something wonderfully freeing about creating simply for the joy of it.

As adults, we often feel the need for everything we do to have a purpose. We want to be productive, achieve something, or know where we're headed. But creativity doesn't always need a reason. Sometimes, the most delightful things happen when we simply let ourselves play.

Today, as we continue our Enchanted Crests journey, we are making room for a little whimsy.

Perhaps it's choosing a colour just because you love it. Adding an unexpected detail. Trying a tangle in a way you haven't before. Or simply following a line and seeing where it takes you.

There are no rules about where play has to lead.

When we stop worrying about whether something is useful, perfect, or even meaningful, we give ourselves the freedom to explore. And often, that is when the unexpected happens—an interesting pattern appears, an idea takes shape, or a simple experiment becomes something we truly love.

Today's crest is an invitation to loosen up, have fun, and enjoy the process rather than focusing only on the finished piece.

Today's intention:

I give myself permission to be playful.

So pick up your pen, let go of expectations, and allow a little whimsy to find its way onto your tile. You might just surprise yourself! ✨
