Day 21 — The Crest of STILLNESS

Day 21 — The Crest of STILLNESS

Be still enough to notice.

We live in a world that constantly asks us to keep moving. There is always something to do, somewhere to be, or something to think about. In the middle of all this activity, we can forget the simple pleasure of pausing and being present.

What if we allowed ourselves a little stillness today?

As I sit down to create my Enchanted Crest, I find joy in the quiet moments between each line and pattern. There is no rush to finish, no need to fill the silence. I simply follow the movement of my pen and watch the artwork unfold. And somewhere along the way, I begin to notice the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Stillness isn’t about having an empty mind or a perfectly quiet world. It is about creating a little space to listen—to our thoughts, our feelings, and the world around us.

Sometimes, it is in these pauses that we find fresh ideas, unexpected beauty, or a sense of clarity we didn’t know we needed.

I love how creating gives us permission to slow down without needing a reason. A pen, a tile, and a few quiet minutes can be enough to bring us back to ourselves.

So today, let’s resist the urge to fill every moment. Pause for a while. Notice what is already here. Give yourself the freedom to simply be.

Today’s intention:

I allow myself to simply be.
