Begin where you are.
Every journey begins with a single step. Sometimes, we wait for the perfect moment, the right idea, or a clear picture of where we are headed. But perhaps beginnings are not about having all the answers. They are simply about being willing to take that first step.
Today, as we begin Enchanted Crests — The October Project, we start with a blank space, a simple string, and an open mind.
There is something magical about starting with nothing and watching an idea slowly take shape. One line leads to another. A tangle grows. A curve becomes a pattern. Colour finds its place. And before we know it, something entirely new has appeared.
Our first crest is a reminder that we don't have to know the whole path before we begin. We only need to make the first mark.
And perhaps that is true beyond our art as well. A new project, a new habit, a long-held dream, or simply a little more time for ourselves—all of them begin in the same way.
Today's intention:
I give myself permission to begin.
So, take a breath. Pick up your pen. Let go of the need to make it perfect, and simply begin.
